Mr. Lipscomb's Blog

Welcome to my classroom, which is known as LipscombLand! This blog is created to inform parents, students, and other visitors of the activities in Mr. Lipscomb's classroom.

As you peruse the site, you'll notice my most recent blog entries, but also a blog archive. You'll also see links to learn more about me, class activities, student information, parent information, and websites that both parents and students will enjoy.

If you have questions, please feel free to send an e-mail to keith.lipscomb@fcps.org .

Classroom and School Rules
Please remind your child of these school and classroom rules:
  • No gum is allowed in my classroom.
  • Cell phones are to be powered off and out of sight.
  • Paper and pen/pencil are required everyday.
  • Keep and organize a folder that is kept in the classroom.
Donations for Community Use
It's not required, but I would appreciate donations of boxed tissue for use by the students.  Runny noses are common, especially during the winter months and we go through a lot of tissue!  I also appreciate donations of notebook paper, pencils, and hand-sanitizer.  Students will be given Middletown Money for their donations.

Schedule of Class Units & Projects

Please go to the Student's Page for a list of the projects and units for each quarter.

Homework:
In my classes, most of the work is project-based.  It is very seldom that I assign homework to a student.  Sometimes, I may require that classwork be completed at home or I may ask that something be brought from home for a project, but homework in the traditional sense is not part of these courses.
